• We respectfully request a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any appointment adjustments or cancellations. When notice is provided at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment, no charges will apply.

    For CoolSculpting treatment appointments, we require a minimum of 72 hours' notice for any treatment appointment adjustments or cancellations.

    To secure your appointment, we require all patients to provide a valid credit card at the time of booking. All credit card information is securely stored in our system.

    Appointments cancelled with less than the required notice, as well as missed appointments ("no-shows"), will be subject to the following fees:

    • 30-minute appointments: $75 late cancellation fee

    • 45 minute+ appointments: $150 late cancellation fee 

    • Coolsculptingtreatment appointment: $500 cancellation fee 

    We understand that unexpected illnesses and emergencies can occur. However, appointment times are reserved exclusively for you and often cannot be filled on short notice. Therefore, cancellations within 24 hours, including those due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, are considered late cancellations and will be subject to the applicable late cancellation fee. To ensure fairness and availability for all patients- and our dedicated providers!- we are unable to make exceptions to this policy.

  • There is generally plenty of street parking on Lincoln Blvd and non-permit parking on the adjacent residential streets (Amoroso and Victoria).  That said, give yourself enough time to find parking, just in case!

  • Yes! We offer 20-25% off when you purchase a package.  Packages are available for many of our services, including microneedling, lasers, Morpheus and more.

  • Please call the office immediately if you believe that you are having an adverse reaction to a treatment. If it is after office hours (10am-5pm), please text “URGENT” with your contact information to the office phone: 310-305-1801 and then call 310-305-1801 for further instructions given in the voicemail. 

    Note: If you are having an emergent issue (e.g. breathing difficulties, vision changes, neurological symptoms, etc), call 911 and go to your closest emergency room. Contact our office immediately so we can relay any relevant information to the ER staff.

CoolSculpting FAQs

  • Many of us have stubborn fat despite diet and exercise. CoolSculpting technology uses controlled cooling to target and kill only these fat cells. More great news? Fat cells do not tend to regenerate.  Fat cells that are frozen during the CoolSculpting procedure gradually die off and leave the body through the body’s natural elimination process. That’s why it takes several weeks to months to see full results- and why the results are long-lasting!

  • We don’t make many fat cells after adolescence, so, as adults, the existing fat cells enlarge, rather than increase in number. When we lose weight, they shrink back down. By eliminating anywhere from 20-30% of the fat cells in the treated area, it will appear slimmer and flatter. If you gain weight after your treatment, the remaining fat cells will get larger- but there will be less of them, so it will be less notable vs prior to your treatment.

  • No. Fat cells are not very dense and therefore do not weigh much. Imagine that you stuffed your shirt with cotton balls until you looked like Santa and weighed yourself. Then you took them all out and weighed yourself again. You’d weigh almost exactly the same, but the physical appearance would be drastically different.

  • Results from CoolSculpting are not immediate. Your results will develop in as little as 4 weeks post-treatment, with most people seeing full results in 90 days.

  • After your treatment, the treated areas will be numb, red, tender and swollen for 1-2 days, with swelling and (likely) bruising lasting up to 7-10 days, and decreased sensation to the skin for several weeks. Many people return to work afterwards. Some may experience a sensation of numbness or tingling in the treated area(s) for days to weeks. Outside of the local side effects post-Coolscultping, generally there is little-to-no downtime. After a CoolSculpting treatment you will be able to return to work and most normal activities right away. While hopping on a treadmill might be uncomfortable for a few days, there is nothing you can do to diminish the results of your treatment- it's all about comfort measures! If these symptoms are prolonged or bothersome, we can prescribe medication for relief.

  • When the applicators are applied and the treatment is started, after 1-2 minutes, it feels like a frozen ice pack has been applied to your skin. It may provide a mild stinging sensation for about 3-5 minutes, after which point your treatment area will feel numb. Most people find Coolsculpting very tolerable and only express discomfort during the “massage” portion, which lasts about 60-90 seconds at the end.

  • Not everyone is a candidate for Coolsculpting and we want to assure that Coolsculpting will be an effective treatment- and great investment- in achieving your unique goals!

  • Depending on your treatment, we offer highly potent compounded numbing cream, injected lidocaine (nerve blocks), Zimmer Cooler, and Nitrous oxide (laughing gas, $150). We also routinely administer ice packs and use distraction devices (e.g. vibrating tools, squeeze balls) during treatments. Rarely, we will prescribe medication for pain management in advance of your treatment.

  • We offer a free 2 week follow up for ‘tox treatments.  We do not do touch ups prior to 14 days as your treatment has not taken full effect!  If a touch up is needed, generally this is done at no cost to you.  However, there are rare exceptions to this so please ask your provider if there will be a fee for the treatment done at follow up.

  • Make an appointment for a free Consultation where we will provide curated treatment options based on your unique anatomy and skin type, concerns, goals, budget and timeline! We often do ‘tox treatments the same day as the consultation if that is your preference and time allows.

  • Coolsculpting often portrays plus size/ curvier women in their marketing campaigns. However, we’ve found that patients who are of average weight with pockets of unwanted body fat get the best results.  We also love using coolsculpting to target places like the submental area to decrease the full appearance, which is also a great option for our more full-figured patients who want a facial slimming effect but aren’t great candidates for body. But bottom line: We don’t want to waste your money if you’re not the best candidate!

  • Absolutely not, which is why CoolSculpting is so great. This treatment is performed in our comfortable treatment room with a TV featuring Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu. So you can say goodbye to stubborn fat while you watch your favorite show, work on your laptop, take calls or…take a nap.

  • CoolSculpting kills fat cells in the treated area(s) by 20-25% each time to provide long-lasting results. Secondary or additional treatments continue to reduce the fat, but likely caps at a maximum of about 40%.
